Grass withers, dust settles
In the shade of dead trees
Barren waste ever lasting
You drop to your knees
Cry out as you fall
In the wake of your pleas
Keep quiet, surrender
Hand over the keys.
We march through your cities
Your fortresses fall
You cower and crumble
Whilst we soldiers stand tall
Glass shatters, you scatter
As shells fall around you
The foetid stench of the corpses
Begins to accrue
Your palace decays
As the bodies turn blue
Keep quiet, surrender
To whom you once knew
We march through your cities
Your fortresses fall
You cower and crumble
Whilst we soldiers stand tall
As slaves we were cast into
Death and decay
Whilst your filthy society
Used us for play
And now we are your Ice Age,
We are your destruction, in this deadly soiree
In this putrid display
You run disarrayed
The swords cut you down
Day after day
We march through your cities
Your fortresses fall
You cower and crumble
Whilst we soldiers stand tall
And now and forever we return to our rest
And leave your faded opulence behind
Washed out cities possessed
By the ghosts of your brethren
So deaf, so dumb and so blind.
You shiver, dismayed
Whilst we soldiers stand, forever tall.
